Tandem axles of ordinary trailers and semi-trailers |
- 11 tonnes if the distance between the axles is less than 1.0 metres
- 16 tonnes if the distance between the axles is between 1.0 metre and less than 1.3 metres
- 18 tonnes if the distance between the axles is between 1.3 metres and less than 1.8 metres
- 20 tonnes if the distance between the axles is 1.8 metres or more

Tandem axles of motor vehicles |
- 11,5 tonnes if the distance between the axles is less than 1.0 metres
- 16 tonnes if the distance between the axles is between 1.0 metre and less than 1.3 metres
- 18 tonnes if the distance between the axles is between 1.3 metres and less than 1.8 metres or
- 19 tonnes if the distance between the axles is between 1.3 metres and less than 1.8 metres, where the driving axle is fitted with twin tyres and air suspension or suspension recognised as being equivalent within the Community or where each driving axle is fitted with twin tyres and the maximum weight of each axle does not exceed 9.5 tonnes
